Dr. Geraldine B. McGinty, assistant professor of clinical radiology, in May received a Distinguished Service Award from the American College of Radiology for her service as a member of the American Medical Association’s Relative Value Update Committee, Advisory Committee and RUC Panel. The American College of Radiology seeks to empower radiology professionals to advance the practice, science and professions of radiological care.

Dr. Thangamani Muthukumar, associate professor of medicine, in June was inducted as a fellow of the American Society of Transplantation and fellow of the American Society of Nephrology. The designation of fellow of the American Society of Transplantation recognizes exceptional commitment to the field of transplantation and outstanding service to the society. The fellow of the American Society of Nephrology honors members with excellence in practice or research, and the designation represents recognition by the society of outstanding credentials, high professional achievement, commitment to the field and demonstrated scholarship.
