Statement: Weill Cornell Medicine Responds to Crane Collapse

Weill Cornell Medicine is monitoring the crane collapse near Weill Cornell Medicine practices at 40 Worth St. in Lower Manhattan. We are in contact with emergency responders, and Weill Cornell Medicine's emergency management teams are on site.

The safety of our employees and patients is of the utmost importance. All Weill Cornell Medicine staff who work in the building are safe and accounted for, and have been evacuated. All patient appointments scheduled for Feb. 5 have been cancelled; patients can visit our website at www.weillcornell.org for more information and to reschedule.

Weill Cornell Medicine Primary Care is a tenant in the building, which also houses a location for our Center for Reproductive Medicine. Weill Cornell Medicine practices located in the building are not undergoing any construction at this time.

Our hearts go out to the families of those harmed by the collapse.
