New Appointments in Neurological Surgery

Dr. Athos Patsalides


Dr. Jeffrey P. Greenfield joins the Department of Neurological Surgery on July 1 as an assistant professor in neurological surgery. Specializing in pediatric neurosurgery, Dr. Greenfield completed his chief residency in the department. He obtained his M.D. and Ph.D. from the Weill Cornell Medical College and Graduate School of Medical Sciences. He completed his neurosurgery residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, as well as a clinical fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, one of North America's premier fellowship programs.

Dr. Athos D. Patsalides joins the Department of Neurological Surgery on July 1 as an assistant professor of radiology in neurological surgery. After receiving his M.D. from the University of Athens, Greece, he moved to the United States and trained at the National Institutes of Health, Georgetown University, and Weill Cornell Medical College. He received his M.P.H. from Johns Hopkins University. His expertise is in the endovascular treatment of vascular diseases of the brain.
